Calling all RoosterTumblr

If you aren’t able to watch the finale on the site, you can use your iPod/iPhone to watch it. Don’t use the app, go into the browser. It might take a couple tries to load the page, but there isn’t any blip.tv bullshit.

Thoughts on Episode 13

basiacat:

More-late-than-normal thoughts on Ep13. So much to talk about. So. Much.

Alright, Alpha. He seems whole, but you never know. The fact that Tex is present should have been a tip-off for us the second she was introduced, but I think the primary reaction was ABUHABUHBUAHBUH TEX YOU BADASS so I don’t know about the rest of you, but I completely skipped over the fact that in order for Tex to be present, we also have to have Alpha. I’m leaning towards thinking they’ve started experimenting on him, but it’s not yet to the point that he’s losing his mind. If Tex was such a prominent part of his life, then it probably wouldn’t have taken much time for her to form as a “by-product.” All in all, seeing (hearing?) a presumably whole or near-whole Alpha was probably the single greatest moment of this season. So far.

Next: Carolina taking a good, long look at where the Director had been looking at Alpha. I’m adding that to my list of thing supporting the “Carolina gets too smart so they get rid of her” theory. Earlier in the season she notices a blank spot in the mission roster, she notices Tex’s malfunction(s), and now Alpha. We’ll see, though. I’m starting to really hope she’s the one who pieces it together.

Super huge girly squee York/Carolina moment. I ship them so hard right now, and I seriously hope we get to see more fodder like that. Also, York, you badass. Going on a super dangerous mission even though your eye isn’t completely healed and you don’t have Delta to watch your left side.

And I don’t know who mentioned this around the episode release, but CT’s acting awful suspicious. Maybe I’m overthinking things, but if she ends up in the desert going against the UNSC/Project Freelancer, then wouldn’t it make sense for her to be a traitor or double agent? Maybe? Yeah, I’m overthinking things. Again, we’ll see how it all pans out.

Wow, this is really tl;dr. I can’t wait for more tomorrow but ashkjfhaw I have a sinking feeling it’s going to be a Blood Gulch episode.

Somebody on the Shizno made a really good point about how maybe Tex is a by-product of Alpha’s creation, and not necessarily a part of his fragmentation.

Also, Carolina seemed to linger on where the Director was talking to Alpha a bit longer than standard. I’m pretty sure she’s going to be the first one to put together all of this AI business.

Not to mention, she seemed on the ball when the rest of the Freelancers were like ‘lol tex shure iz fast’

I honestly think Carolina getting two AIs is going to be less about her skill level and more about getting her out of the way with how quickly she’s piecing things together. I have a feeling the director is going to know split AIs aren’t that stable, or that at least two AIs in one mind aren’t going to mix very well. Plus, with Tex now in the picture, Carolina isn’t a one-of-a-kind Agent skill set-wise, so she’s not as indispensable as she was before.

Right when Carolina was introduced as Number One Badass I got the feeling that her fucked up AI implant was to purposefully trash her, for whatever reason. Now I definitely think that the Director is going to need to get rid of her, and that’s how he’ll do it. She’s catching on.

I’m thinking maybe it’s a combo of both. We all know that the Director is a manipulative asshole, so maybe he kind of pushes her into getting two AI to “make her the best she can be” with the intent of fucking her up.

My more or less coherent thoughts about the episode.

The Director ignoring the fact that York ran away from the infirmary.

also York york york york york york. york york york.

I’m sure Wash was having a panic attack at this blatant disregard for protocol.

no he’s just glad he doesn’t have to use his lockpicking abilities on the field.

“Do you have it?”

“I’m working on it!”

“Well work faster, we can’t hold them off much longer—”

You try breaking through an encrypted lock then!”

I’m trying to cover you! Hurry up!”

“This wasn’t in the field manual!”

yep. better for everyone if york comes along.

Question about RvB Season 9

spacezombies:

So I remember hearing Burnie say something along the lines of how this current story being told is sort of its own thing, kind of separate from the past few storylines, but did he ever confirm it would only be one season? I mean, I don’t know what they have planned exactly, but I feel like we’re either going to be left with a whole lot of questions (then again that’s not really unheard of in RvB…), or a ton of information/answers squished into the last few episodes. It’s not like we’re down to the wire or anything, but I still feel like there’s so much to be told about Project Freelancer before we hit what is essentially the end of the program and not enough episodes left to tell it in if we’re skipping between Epsi-Gulch too.

All I know is that Season 9 is not going to be the last season. Burnie said that they will be doing Red vs. Blue for a long time to come.
